By nature, we’re not clean freaks. Don’t get us wrong. We like everything in the home and office tidy, neat, and clean, but we’re not the ones who will go into unnecessary details.

With jokes aside, we know people don’t find it thrilling to clean their house, but there are ways to make it fun! This all-natural carpet freshener is one those things! We get it, you can easily buy them at the supermarket for less than $5, but those include chemicals that you don’t want to welcome in the home.
We’re not sure about you, but we love the scent of a carpet fresher! After leaving it overnight, it’s stimulating to vacuum it afterward. But now that we’re making a change to all-natural solutions, we decided to ditch the store brands. You can understand where we’re coming from, right?
The following is how to make an all-natural freshener:
20-40 drops essential oil of choice
1/2 cup baking soda
Baking soda can do a lot of things for the home. It’s a perfect natural carpet cleaner, and it removes odors embedded in the carpet. You can use essential oils to create an incredible scent that helps to cleanse your carpet too
When selecting essential oils, find one that has a powerful cleansing property. Some of our favorites are mint and lavender. The combination scent of both elements is amazing, and they have a strong antibacterial quality.
Directions:
Combine the essential oils and baking soda, and put inside a container with holes in the lid (for example, a baby powder container). Let this combination sit overnight to allow essential oil saturate the baking soda.
To Use:
Lightly sprinkle over the carpet, and it sits for about 10-15 minutes. Vacuum afterward.
If possible, leave the all-natural carpet fresher overnight and then vacuum in the morning. So, there you have it! A wonderful alternative that will freshen up your home.
